Gordon Bok's Wood Carvings (Art Show)
Location: St. Lawrence Arts Center
Gordon Bok is timeless. Seafarer, songwriter extraordinaire, excellent instrumentalist and skilled craftsman! His wood-carvings will be on exhibit at the St. Lawrence Arts Center for the month of September, beginning with the First Friday Art Walk on September 3rd.
Two Sides of the Classical Guitar (Concert)
Time: 7:30 AM to 9:30 PM
Location: St. Lawrence Arts Center
“Two Sides of the Classical Guitar” will feature two musical styles contrasted with brilliance in this performance by renowned Latin acoustic guitarist David Bullard, accompanied by classical guitarist Brian Cullen. As a New England critic recently wrote: "All of us music lovers in Mid-Coast Maine are lucky to have this pair of virtuosic guitar players in our midst. While hearing Cullen and Bullard play back to back one is struck by the broad range of musical styles that can by produced by the mere six strings of the classical guitar"
Golf 4 Water, by Global Benefit (Golf Tournament)
Time: 8:30 AM to 3:00 AM
Location: Plausawa Countrty Club in Pembroke on Friday September 24th.
Format will be 4 member teams with best-ball play. Entry fee is $150 per person and $50 for those under 25. Day to include prizes, drawings, raffles items, and a BBQ. The tournament will help raise money for Global Benefit who exists to raise awareness to the clean water crisis and fund clean water and sanitation projects in Africa.
